Duties

Help
  • Coordinates material support between approximately 250 unit accounts within Alaska and all applicable outside agencies concerning serviced material categories.
  • Monitors automated data processing (ADP) products
  • Manages the Inventory Management Plan (IMP), which identifies excess materiel via the Materiel Returns Program (MRP).
  • Manages funds to ensure goal achievement for the Inventory Management Plan (IMP)

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing supply management support in relation to material management and stock record accountability; utilizing an automated supply system to manage and/or account for equipment

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
