About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a Product Lead (Acquisition) with Program Executive Office (PEO), Missiles and Space. The mission of PEO, Missiles and Space is to: Develop, acquire, field, sustain, and enhance Missile and Space Weapon Systems for transformation to the Future Force while improving interoperability, enhancing reliability and safety, and maintaining combat overmatch through recapitalization and modernization.

Duties

Help
  • Serves as Supervisory Product Lead for assigned Acquisition system and/or related acquisition program.
  • Interfaces with external stakeholders such as representatives from OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, TRADOC, ASA(ALT), PEO Staff, and other commands and agencies, and private industry on all matters effecting program execution.
  • Reviews programming documents received from HQDA to determine effect on assigned programs.
  • Oversees POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.
  • Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.

  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • This position requires the incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires Senior Level III Certification in Acquisition career field Program Management within twenty-four months of entrance into the position.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). An Acquisition Corps membership is required prior to entering into this position, unless a waiver has been granted by the appropriate authority.
  • This Critical Acquisition Position requires a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
  • This position may require incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 50% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with acquisition process including development, test and evaluation, contracting, production, and financial management; and experience managing and executing responsibility for cost, schedule, performance and risk within an acquisition program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).
