About the Position:

Serve as a Staff Action Officer within the Integration Branch, IT Support Division,
Assistant Chief of Staff (ACofS), G6, U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command
(NETCOM).

Serve as the Command's focal point for records, publications, forms, Freedom of Information Act, and
Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) management.

Duties

Help
  • Responsible for short-and-long range planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of procurement and lifecycle replacement the Information Technology (IT) technologies within NETCOM Headquarters.
  • Assist in the development, presentation, and defense of NETCOM's position on financial management, acquisition, and administrative matters and make decisions and commitments within the scope of authority delegated by the Branch Lead.
  • Exercise the Army Supply Discipline program, providing supply services and property accountability support.
  • Provide budget advice for support contracts, and develops and coordinates actions for budget formulation and execution.
  • Serve as the Command functional and technical specialist on administration of the Records Management Program and associated sub-disciplines.
  • Provide advice and guidance to organizations regarding interpretation of FOIA/PA policies and procedures.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Requires periodic temporary Duty (TDY) travel to worldwide locations approximately 10% of the time, sometimes on short notice, using the fastest mode of transportation available.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing advisory services on budget or procurement related matters; reviewing and coordinating a variety of actions or assignments; reviewing and editing documents to ensure adherence to policy as well as proper format; and managing a variety of records, forms, publications, or information requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
