Summary

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the CAD/PAD Division of NAVSURFWARCEN IHEODTECHDIV.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-3 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-9 and GS-10.

Duties

Help
  • You will develop, prepare and coordinate cost estimates, procurement requests and other documentation for assigned items.
  • You will evaluate reports and make recommendations pertaining to production planning, scheduling and financial constraints.
  • You will monitor labor charges against assigned funding.
  • You will participate in the evaluation of requests for deviations and waivers and incorporate as necessary.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

NT-3:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-2 (GS-5/8 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing organization's procurement request to ensure conformity to all procurement regulations.

NT-2:
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-1 (GS-1/4 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Collecting and inputting data to assist with identifying procurement and contracting funding issues.

Education

Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:

NT-3:
A master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR
An LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled; OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.

NT-2:
4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree; OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
