This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position has specific background investigation and periodic re-investigation requirements since its duties require contact with children.
This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual season influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempt for medical or religious reasons.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working in a medical clinic conducting front desk operations; greeting patients in person and telephonically; creating routine and/or special reports; managing scheduling templates; booking and scheduling appointments using automated healthcare systems; and coordinating with providers or clinic schedules to avoid scheduling conflicts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
