Duties

Help
  • Provide day-to-day technical direction to a team of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) demonstrates competencies in consulting/advising, problem solving, strategic analysis, critical thinking and teamwork.
  • Coaches the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, as well as, the legal and policy basis for HR concepts and principles.
  • Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload among employees; arranging for team member training; monitors and reports on the status and progress of work.
  • Serves as coach and facilitator in coordinating team initiatives, policy implementation and fosters a culture of innovation and creativity.
  • As a HR expert & strategic partner, provides consultation, advisory services, & solutions to senior level management, supervisors, HR staff that includes the full breadth of HR Services with specialty area in Position Management & Staffing for MSFC.

Qualifications

Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-13), which has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

To qualify for the GS-14:

Specialized experience includes performing duties such as led a team of HR Specialists implementing either new regulations and/or improvements in an HR Program that affected the workforce; provided consultation and/or advisory services to senior managers/supervisors recommended ideas and/or solutions to their recruitment and staffing of positions; conducted research on an HR Program and presented findings and recommendations to HR Management.
