About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 902D Military Intelligence Group, 310TH MI Battalion, TEMPEST, Fort Meade, MD.
Conduct TEMPEST countermeasures and provide advice.
Develops and interprets broad physical security policies and regulations, making recommendations for changes in basic physical security processes and methods to satisfy policy and operational requirements.
Analyzed and determined future procedures requirements that will improve TEMPEST testing process.
Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Must be able to pass the Army Defensive Driver's Training Course.
TDY travel may be required 35% or less of the time.
Must be willing to occasionally work irregular hours.
Must be able to obtain within 18 months TEMPEST Professional Level II Certification. The employee must maintain the certification while employed.
All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
