Duties

Help
  • You will serve as technical lead in web programming area, providing technical oversight and serve as quality evaluator on those tasks that, have been determined to be of higher complexity, higher risk, and /or requiring discrete task tracking.
  • You will provide authoritative advice to other agency technical experts and high level officials, conduct investigations that may require development of new techniques.
  • You will plan, design, and implement the operational configuration of significant new systems architectures to provide near real-time support to mission critical decision aids and to provide the right information at the right time to warfighters.
  • You will perform analysis and plan for anticipated applications software development and growth requirements.
  • You will plan, design, and implement the operational installation, configuration and maintenance of application software code and systems.
  • You will manage the web server on Linux, configure, monitor and upgrade web services technologies such as Wildfly and Tomca in Linux, configure monitoring tools, and load balancer.
  • You will assess overall effectiveness of system architecture and propose recommendations for system architecture to comply with business best practices with a focus on cyber security posture and current threats to systems.
  • You will maintain and troubleshoot web server operations.

  • This a Special Sensitive position that requires a TOP Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • This position has been designated as a Cybersecurity Workforce position with a Specialty Code of 621

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience applying principles, practices and standards of software configuration management, quality assurance and IT systems as they relate to software engineering technology

Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.

Experience diagnosing and resolving complex software supportability, reliability and survivability problems and issues.

Experience with extensive programming in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, CSS, JS, HTML, DHTML, PERL, CGI and XML.
