As an Emergency Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
Manage various Emergency Management Programs and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning/operations for the command.
Provide support to the JMC Emergency Operations Center (EOC)/Crisis Management Team (CMT) during emergency conditions and on a day-to-day basis
Act as a technical advisor on emergency response concepts and procedures for situations involving CBRNE incidents, natural disasters, and major HAZMAT incidents.
Provide oversight, coordination and collaboration of various emergency response programs with in HQ Joint Munitions Command (JMC) and JMC.
Serves as the primary action officer and subject matter expert for emergency management planning and implementation.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as assisting with the installation's emergency response planning; managing of the Installation Emergency Services Program; integrating operational planning and coordination with emergency responders on the installation as well as state and local emergency responders; tracking and management of emergency services and the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High Yield Explosives (CBRNE) operations; and/or planning and conducting training for the installation ensuring all protection related principles of instruction are executed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Serving as technical advisor to higher level management on the implementation of procedures in response to catastrophic events (CBRNE)
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
