Duties

Help
  • You will ensure proper organizational development and alignment of operations associated with the functional areas of the Detachment.
  • You will be responsible for managing the logistical and operational support, magazine and/or waterfront and airfield operations.
  • You will direct, coordinate, and oversee the work directly and/or directly through subordinate supervisors on a daily and long range basis.
  • You will direct all real property maintenance and management of all assigned facilities and equipment.
  • You will determine and establish the long-range and short-term range goals and annual objectives for the Detachment to support organizational goals and mission.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-13:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience managing and planning program execution on a daily and long-range basis
  • Experience directing, coordinating and overseeing the work directly and indirectly through subordinate supervisors
  • Experience reviewing and recommending changes to methods or procedures to be followed
  • Experience providing guidance and direction for multiple fleet ordnance support programs (FOS)
  • Experience ensuring full support and compliance of explosives safety and health requirements
  • Experience directing all real property maintenance and management of all assigned facilities and equipment
  • Experience managing all financial requirements, procurement credit cards and fuel cards
  • Experience developing and submitting budgeting and staffing requirements and oversee the execution of annual budgets
  • Experience using supervisors and leaders to direct, coordinate and oversee work
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing ordnance logistics and operations requirements and directs changes as required
  • Experience overseeing supply support to meet administrative and operational requirements.
FOR THE GS-12:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience reviewing and recommending changes to methods or procedures to be followed
  • Experience providing guidance and direction for multiple fleet ordnance support programs (FOS)
  • Experience ensuring full support and compliance of explosives safety and health requirements
  • Experience directing all real property maintenance and management of all assigned facilities and equipment
  • Experience managing all financial requirements, procurement credit cards and fuel cards
  • Experience directing and conducting cost comparison/benefit studies of current and projected programs
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing ordnance logistics and operations requirements and directs changes as required
  • Experience overseeing supply support to meet administrative and operational requirements.
