Duties

Help
  • You will with assistance, perform searches for specialized supplies, equipment, and materials utilizing Government and commercial sources.
  • You will negotiate with vendors for best value and schedule.
  • You will identify vendors who are currently registered with the System for Award Management.
  • You will with assistance work with end users and engineers to define contract requirements, create and monitor Procurement Initiation Documents/Procurement Requests for contracts.
  • You will work with others to conduct market research, provide recommendations, analyze data, and evaluate and interpret findings.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience at or equivalent to the GS-1/3 grade level or DG-01 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate progressively responsible clerical, office or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying duties would include: 1) maintaining vendor relationships; 2) purchasing materials; and 3) maintaining supply inventory.

Education


The following education may be substituted for experience:

2 years of post high school education. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

OR

Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.
