Duties

Help
  • Make recommendations to higher headquarters and external agencies to improve the accuracy of AMCOM financial reports and directing corrective actions within AMCOM and subordinate commands
  • Monitor and analyze general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers and status reports to ensure AMCOM funds are being accurately recorded and reported
  • Maintain oversight of Automated time and Attendance (ATAAPS, ) Defense travel System (DTS), Payroll customer service and the Government Travel Card Program
  • Provide creative solutions to ensure costs and manpower are utilized appropriately and effectively.

  • This position requires Level III certification in Financial Management within 24 months of occupying the position.
  • This position has been designated Emergency Essential.
  • This position is supervisory and requires one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties unless previously completed.
  • This position requries 10% Temporary Duty Travel (TDY)
  • This position has been designated as a "KEY" position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes overseeing and monitoring the Government Travel Card Program, responsible for the successful operation, management and sustainment of the Defense Travel System within the command; acts as system expert for payroll and coordinates time and attendance problems; analyzes and interprets Defense and Army finance and accounting policies, procedures, systems and program initiatives
