About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Installation Management Command, Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Directorate of Public Works, O & M Division, Dublin, CA. (Camp Parks is a sub-installation of Fort Hunter Liggett)

Located 40 miles southeast of San Francisco, 20 miles southeast of Oakland, and 30 miles northeast of San Jose at the junction of Interstate Highways 580 and 680. Employees are eligible for the Mass Transportation Fringe Benefit Program

Duties

Help
  • Prepare contracts and documents for implementation.
  • Prepare Performance Work Statement on service contracts.
  • Recommend approval or disapproval of contractor?s submittals.
  • Support contracting personnel in negotiations.
  • Attend and participates in conferences.
  • Serve as a liaison between command, contractor, and customer.
  • Use a variety of computer programs to produce required documents.
  • Serve as a Technical Monitor of service contracts.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing Statement of Work (SOW), administering and handling contracts and projects, obtaining funds, interpreting plans, working with contractors, maintaining files, and preparing and submitting a variety of reports regarding contracts and projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
