Duties

Help
  • Responsible for coordinating and reviewing the technical activities for planning and development of projects for water and associated land resources, throughout four states as needed.
  • Activities of the Section include investigation, planning and formulation of flood control and multi-purpose water resource development projects and the analysis of flood plain hazards.
  • Preparation of resultant feasibility reports, watershed assessments, post authorization studies and other planning studies.
  • Coordination of water resource activities with other Federal, State and local agencies and the review of flood control aspects of reports prepared by contractors other Federal Agencies.

In addition to meeting the basic education requirements above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirement listed below:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development and execution of Department of Defense and other federal agencies facility projects or programs, environmental restoration projects or programs; developing, implementing and executing an effective quality management program for facility design/construction, renovation, or environmental restoration project or program products; coordinating responses to correspondence, inquiries, or directives requiring multiple design/construction/environmental actions; analyzing/interpreting design/construction/environmental directives and correspondence to determine applicability.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
