  • You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates.
  • You will give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
  • You will provide overall direction, coordination, and management of all facets and functions of a major technical program or several closely related programs.
  • You will provide informed, independent, and data substantiated mission engineering and warfare analysis products in support of acquisition decisions.
  • You will be responsible for all administrative operations and overall management of the NAWCWD business unit.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-04 (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing plans and making written and oral presentations for stakeholders on project status, technical problems, scheduling, and costs and/or reviews and evaluating contractor performance for conformance to established criteria; 2) Preparing all planning documents associated with program organization, product development, material acquisition, program budgets, schedule, reports, and documentation; 3) Providing informed, independent, and data substantiated mission engineering and warfare analysis products in support of acquisition decisions and fleet activities to make the force more agile; 4) Providing oversight, leadership, and strategic development of a large, multi-disciplinary, team to support the development of mission area System of Systems (SoS) architectures, modeling, simulation, and analysis.
