Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.


Minimum Qualifications:

In addition to meeting the basic requirements described above, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position. Qualified applicants should possess the required specialized experience as defined below:

One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, to include experience in data science methods including data analysis, data visualization, and machine learning techniques.

Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a field that is directly related to the duties of this position.

-OR-

A combination of graduate level education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

Education completed in colleges or universities outside the United States may be used to meet the education requirements. You must provide acceptable documentation that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
