Duties

Help
  • You will provide a variety of daily routine supply operations duties involving all aspects of stock management of various classes of Supply.
  • You will collaborate with the Logistics Support Team (LST) Log Planner, LCS Team Lead, and Logistics Support Centers (LSC) in planning, scheduling and implementing comprehensive inventory support for LCS deployed and homeport.
  • You will receive material requests from customers and coordinate the best method of acquisition.
  • You will meet customers to provide status; interface with the fleet to explain procedures, obtain information concerning plans and decide how to support operational requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a practical knowledge of well-established and commonly applied Afloat supply principles, concepts and methodologies in order to perform Supply Specialist work investigating, analyzing, and resolving supply operations/management and inventory problems related to a variety of supply requirements in support of US Navy Ships to include repairable parts, consumables, hazardous materials, subsistence, medical materials and/or fuel supply classes. Perform Stock Control Functions to include but not limited to Material Outstanding File (MOF) management, procurement, expediting, DLR management, financial management, Bar Code Supply (BCS), fleet Audit Compliance Enhancement Tool (FACET) and Functional Area Supervisor (FAS). Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Ensure that a variety of supply operations are sustained to support material requirements aboard ships; 2) Receive material requests from customers and coordinate the best method of acquisition; 3) Requisition stock and direct turn-over materials, input and provide status to database and customers; 4) Process supply documentation to accomplish fueling and refueling supply support for the ship and its equipment; and 5) Schedule and conduct inventory for assignment storage facilities to determine and replenish stock levels.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
