Help
  • Motor Vehicles - Operate all classes and types of motor vehicles including passenger cars, buses, trucks of all sizes and capacities, and tractor trailers.
  • Materials Handling Equipment - Full range of equipment such as tractors, forklifts, warehouse cranes, rough terrain container handler, and other equipment designed for the handling of equipment

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator without more than normal supervision. Your resume must reflect the ability to perform common Motor Vehicle Operator tasks. I can effectively operate truck tractor and semi-trailer combination units (10 to 52 ton). I have operated motor vehicles to include gasoline or diesel powered truck tractor with semi-trailer to haul a variety of materials. I have driving experience under summer and winter conditions. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level Motor Vehicle Operator who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

  • PHYSICAL EFFORT Operating vehicles involves moderate physical effort in manipulating hand and foot controls while driving, turning, starting, and stopping. Subject to strain because of vibration of the vehicles. Moderate physical effort is necessary while operating the two braking systems on the truck and trailer. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required in the frequent handling of objects weighing up to 70 pounds (occasionally over 70 pounds) while loading and unloading carg.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS: Drives in all types of weather and traffic. Is exposed to noise and exhaust fumes. Is exposed to serious accidents while driving, loading, and unloading vehicles. Is subject to jolts and jerks from operation of attachments and controls and traveling over rough terrain. Encounters greasy and grimy conditions in maintenance of equipment. Exposed to possibility of serious injury from the vehicle jackknifing. Work schedule is subject to changing shifts and occasional TDY.
