Duties

Help
  • Manage centralized Force Management automated applications/records.
  • Provide guidance on unique aspects of force structure during the development of new software systems.
  • Coordinate, analyze and manage. complex changes to ARNG Automated Force Structure Modules.
  • Integrate force structure issues/decisions during the Total Army Analysis (TAA) and the Command Plan Process and Planning.
  • Prepare decision/informational briefings, memoranda, and charts with supporting data for the ARNG position on force structure adjustments.
  • evaluate force structure initiatives from higher headquarters to assess the impact on the command.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: utilize analysis tools such as the Mission Analysis Readiness Resource Synchronization (MARRS) tool to coordinate, analyze, and manage complex changes to manpower, force structure initiatives, modernization and budgetary issues; make recommendations for automating Division functions and processes; provide guidance on unique aspects of force structure to include new or revised policies; analyze and defend the position of the command on force structure issues; evaluate force structure initiatives from higher headquarters to assess the impact on the command; and prepare/present informational briefings, charts and memoranda with force structure data for senior leaders so they can make informed decisions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
