You will perform a wide variety of standardized and specialized preservation and packing work.
You will prepare and process all documentation, special handling labels, shipping codes, and required shipping data for special handling items such as classified and hazardous materials.
You will be responsible for container selection, protective devices, cushioning, methods and techniques required in conjunction with size, type weight and security classification, fragility and/or hazardous materials requirements.
You will ensure hazardous shipments comply with federal, state and local directives regarding packing, marking, labeling and certification prior to shipment.
You will operate material handling and weight handling equipment such as fork lifts, hand lifts, pallet jacks, dollies and electric lifts to transport material to and from the warehouse and load and off load trucks to facilitate the shipping process.
