Summary

The incumbent interprets contract specifications and other directives to resolve problems.
Responsible for maintaining surveillance over the full range of technical support and field engineering activities associated with specific phases of maintenance, repair, renovation, and minor construction projects.
Monitor contractor performance and notify Project Manager of contractor?s noncompliance with contract documents.
Obtain contract documents at beginning of projects to review plans, specifications, and shop drawings for complete understanding of project.
Monitor and inspect safety practices of contractor to ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
Work activities require ascending and descending ladders to access dark and dirty confined spaces with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a current driver license.
This position requires incumbent to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
