Duties

Help
  • You will ensure the accuracy of data entry and the shipping visibility in order to ensure the inventory levels are at the lowest possible level without harming the mission
  • You will prepare recurring and special reports, compile statistics from data requiring analysis, and take correction action of transaction
  • You will monitor quality control performance measures to insure time frames are being met
  • You will investigate stock-in-transit (SIT) which does not reach the destination within the allotted time frame and summit documentation of the following results

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing Supply Sytems Work standardized analysis of supply and transportation regulation, policies and procedures in order to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches about inventory and to reconstruct records related to hazardous cargo, classified, specialized and/or general cargo. I have experience analyzing and investigating inventory management delays and errors between ship dates, receive date and quantity and locating the most cost-effective available carrier. Example of specialized statement may include some of the following: 1) Utilize supply and transportation databases such as electronic retrograde Management Systems(ERMS), Air clearance Authorities(ACA), or Financial and Air Clearance Transportation(FCAT) to enter data pertaining to inventory; 2)Monitor the Quality Control plan within the Advanced Traceability and Control (ATAC) reports and any deficiencies, responding to customer complaints and recommending corrective action; 3) Ensure all documentation is created properly and available for the appropriate customs and shipping labels are required; 4) Approve or deny transportation financial payments up to $300,000 within only transaction

Education

GS-07 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience: have successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position or have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in any field with superior academic achievement. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.

GS-07 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
