Duties

Help
  • You will represent the command as the technical expert in shipboard configuration validation reviews and ensure proper configuration and logistics support is provided to the fleet.
  • You will provide complete shipboard configuration and logistics support to Fleet units undergoing repair and modernization avail abilities to ensure correct equipment configuration.
  • You will provide research and analysis of shipboard configuration during complex overhauls such as EDSRA, DSRA, ESRA, and PMA's.
  • You will collect, analyze, review and create various data/reports to evaluate, document, and report the various ILS (Integrated Logistical Support) effectiveness and conditions of shipboard Fleet units.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Logistics Management Specialist experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that demonstrates a knowledge of logistics and configuration support policies and procedures to resolve problems related to shipboard systems and equipment. I have experience researching and analyzing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) procedures such as: identification of requirements, requisitioning, receipt control, storage, staging, inventory, accountability, distribution and transportation to assure the most effective and economical means of support are considered and planned. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Analyze and interpret shipboard systems utilizing drawings and bid specification package to determine requirements and provide logistics/configuration support package; 2) Perform shipboard validation of equipment in accordance with directives and policies; 3) Utilize a knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) pertaining to the identification of requirements, requisitioning, receipt control, storage, staging, inventory, accountability, distribution, and transportation as outlined in applicable directives and instructions; and 4) Utilize a working knowledge of various repair processes to analyze the effect on waterfront maintenance teams.
