Duties

Help
  • You will prepare, modify and maintain drawings and maps for all telecommunication infrastructure aboard Camp Lejeune area bases.
  • You will import sketches and drawings into mapping systems.
  • You will research data to determine the most efficienct, economical way to complete projects.
  • You will use Computer Aided drafting (CAD), geospatial mapping software and Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment.
  • You will maintain the faciilities and telecommunications intfrastructure drawing library.
  • You will propose new policies and practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • You will perform field verification and record exact locations of infratructure (e.g., manhold duct systems and components, communications pedastels and buried cables) using GPS locating equipment.

  • This position is deemed essential and is subject to recall during emergency situations and on an as needed basis in order to fulfill mission requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Preparing and maintaining all drawings and maps (e.g., plant designs, , building floor plans, wiring diagrams, site plans and area maps) using Computer Aided Drafting and software programs.
