Duties

Help
  • You will perform technical support duties related to maintaining property accounts and records, completing individuals transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference files, conducting data searches and distributing output files.
  • You will provide functional consultation and instruction to functional area user on the OIS-R database.
  • You will perform stock status reviews for all conventional ammunition and projects and determine system requirements and perform research in different catalogs to obtain stock numbers for ordinance items.
  • You will implement and/or review procurement action for the major units and end assemblies assigned.
  • You will research all error messages received and process corrective transactions.
  • You will monitor and manage the Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS).
  • You will review, research and resolve reports of non-deliverables, losses, damages, discrepancies and computer related rejects.
  • You will prepare letters, reports, tabulated material, memoranda and other related documentation in either rough draft or final form.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • During destructive weather conditions, incumbent may be required to report for duty. Incumbent may be subject to recall for work during off duty hours when an emergency arises to include weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical support duties related to maintaining property accounts and records, completing individual transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference file, conducting data searches and distributing output files.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Education

You may also qualify based on education OR combination of education and experience, in lieu of the one year specialized experience listed above, through ONE of the following:

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 4 years above high school; OR

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to 1 year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal to 100 percent.
