About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Regional Planning and Environment Division North (RPEDN). RPEDN is responsible for planning water resource projects in the Upper Mississippi Valley from St. Louis to the Canadian border. Projects include supporting inland navigation, flood risk management, restoring environmental resources and providing emergency response to disasters. It provides economic analysis assistance and support for Corps of Engineers studies and related activities within St. Louis, Rock Island, and St. Paul Districts.
St. Paul District: The position is located with the USACOE, St. Paul District Headquarters, located downtown St. Paul. MN.
St. Louis District: The position is located with the USACOE, St. Louis District Headquarters, within walking distance of Busch Stadium, MO.
Rock Island District: The position is located with the USACOE, Rock Island District Headquarters, which is in the Clock Tower Building on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, IL.
Selection may be made at the developmental GS-11 level, or the full performance GS-12 level. At the developmental level, you will perform substantially some of the same duties as the full performance level, but you will perform in a training capacity and under closer than normal supervision.
