Prepares a variety of promotional products (flyers, brochures, calendars, posters, pamphlets, booklets, etc.) using graphics design software, Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on InDesign. Uses own judgment, creativity and expertise in layout and design. Produces illustrations, charts, graphs, and reports. Ensures all products are proofed by supervisor and activity manager, in proper format, arranged properly and all corrections are made. Communicates via email, phone or through the work order system with activity manager about changes, additions, or design of product. Does all printing, folding, and collating as required. Confirms program information ensuring dates, times and places are correct. Develops promotional material from information provided by activity managers. Decides best type of promotional coverage and provides information for media publications, announcements, briefings or special projects. Provides all publicity support for special events to include designing layout for posters, flyers, invitations, signs, badges, t-shirts and more. Research design software to ensure we are using the most current technology. Maintains specialized equipment to ensure it is in working order and reports need for repair or purchase to supervisor. May be required to use significant and extensive technical expertise to design, layout, and submit the FSS magazine to an outside printer. Collects and compiles information provided from all FSS activities for layout in the FSS magazine to extend the advertising reach and scope. Provides technical advice, data, and support to meet the requirements of outside agencies for printing of the JBSA magazine. May operate a government vehicle to include a small/large truck, sedan, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.
