Open to Current permanent employees of VISN 1 locations for Veterans Health Administration employees, including permanent Veterans Canteen Service employees, current permanent full-time Hybrid Title 38 and permanent full-time Title 38 employees. This does not include temporary, term or temporary intermittent.
Project Management/Programmatic Oversight
The position is responsible for providing and maintain programmatic oversight for the efficient operation of the
program.
Strategic and Business Planning
The incumbent will be responsible for the development both long- and short-term policies and plans for VISN 1.
Ensures ambulatory care medical administration needs of VISN 1 are incorporated into annual budget and operating
plans. Improve care delivery by identifying and anticipating needs, potential issues, and concerns.
National Program Responsibilities
Provides access related consultative services to the VAMC, VISN and National leadership Review and provide input
on nationally issued regulations and policies for VA-wide implementation, utilizing local ACOD-GPMs and
communication strategies.
Performance Improvement
The incumbent develops and monitors VISN programs, plans, procedures and methodologies related to access to care.
Work with VISN GPMs to integrate data analytics and measures with continuous process improvement utilizing LEAN,
Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies to meet and sustain ambulatory care goals and objectives
Data Analysis
The incumbent provides input into the development of project plans with the analysis, design, testing, implementation
and maintenance of data analysis projects in support of clinical programs, performance monitoring and program
evaluation. S/he analyzes statistical and demographic data to support program development and to aid in the
establishment of goals and objectives.

This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities.
