This announcement is open to current permanent Competitive Service DoD employees, current permanent DoD VRA employees; eligible PPP Applicants, VEOA, ICTAP, and eligible Military Spouse applicants
Procures services for DoD mission partners; serves as the primary business advisor to mission partners.
Collaborates with mission partners on programmatic needs, acquisition planning and preparation of complete acquisition packages within a defined schedule.
Prepares and issue solicitations, evaluate proposals, perform cost/price analysis to determine fair and reasonableness.
Conducts source selections and/or negotiations; collaborate with Policy and General Counsel.
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. Current civilian and military personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement.
You will need to send proof of education or of certification to be considered for this position.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement, qualified applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12) in the Federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as:experience in all phases of planning, awarding, and administering contracts for the federal government from cradle to grave.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level
