Help

  • Acts as the focal point for all actions involving the SPACEFOREUR-AF/CC and handles a wide range of sensitive and confidential special assignments of great personal interest and concern to the SPACEFOREUR-AF/CC.
  • Reviews incoming and outgoing correspondence and recommendations pertaining to content.
  • Given mission objectives by the SPACEFOREUR-AF/CC, performs daily administrative duties.
  • Screens visitors and telephone calls for the SPACEFOREUR-AF/CC and Deputy.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-3, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS 12-13 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include providing management solutions and recommendations, advice and assistance to all assigned programs/projects; Reviewing completed actions for priority, content, security markings, and to ensure that issues are correctly addressed; coordinating requirements for official functions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of the employing organization.
2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, and spreadsheets.
3. Knowledge of protocol principles and associated regulations, policies, directives, procedural guides, precedents and instructions, and military and civilian rank structure in order to coordinate and assure adherence to proper ceremony and etiquette.
4. Skill in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously; Skill in interpreting functional policies, procedures, and techniques to develop viable programmatic options for satisfying the organization's changing priorities, AND Skill in intrapersonal relationships to work with senior officials.
5. Ability to communicate orally and in writing; Ability to plan and organize work; Ability to access or locate information through the use of a person computer or terminal; AND Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

AcqDemo Expanded Probationary Period for Supervisors and Managers: An additional supervisory probationary period of one year may be required when an employee is officially assigned to a different supervisory position.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-3 equivalent to a GS-12 to GS-13.
