Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation and, revision of financial management policies.
  • You will generate, recommend, and implement new and revised financial management concepts, internal controls, methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization’s programs.
  • You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
  • You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
  • You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary.
  • You will assign work to subordinates based on employee’s capabilities, priorities and difficulty.
  • You will provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of financial administration and budgeting principles to develop new methodologies and direct large-scale systems.
2. Ability to analyze and coordinate the entire budget lifecycle, developing financing proposals for review and resolving complex, non-routine financial issues in a highly dynamic regulatory environment.
3. Ability to advise on financial policies, directing all phases of budgeting, and implementing new strategies and controls to ensure the organization's financial integrity.
4. Managing mission-related programs and performance, set policies, coordinate audits, and oversee all aspects of employee supervision and development.
