About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the NAF Accounting Office on RAF Lakenheath.

This position is a Regular Part-time position with 20 guaranteed hours per week. This position also comes with the opportunity to elect benefits to include: Health insurance, Life Insurance, 401(k) and retirement. Eligible for annual sick and leave accrual.

Duties

Help

Performs double-entry accounting work in order to maintain a combination of journals and ledgers. Examines, verifies and analyzes a variety of documents to determine their mathematical correctness, validity, and clerical accuracy. Prepares worksheets, statements, and closes accounts. Prepares reports monthly, quarterly and annually reflecting the financial condition of activities serviced by the accounting unit. Performs Value Added Tax (VAT) cashier related functions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

Must have experience in clerical duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items to include direct handling of cash, use of cash accountability and control methods. Must have work experience in double entry accounting procedures and techniques.
