Duties

Help

  • Provides a program analysis for upper level management to measure current status against planned objectives.
  • Conducts analysis within the office, in the work area, or in customer organizations.
  • Full scale supply program analysis. Produces data and portrays as arithmetical computations and meaningful statistical data for graphic presentation.
  • Analyzes critical elements of supply performance continuously, important problems as needed, and less important items on a random sampling basis.
  • Equipment Accountability Element. Manages support equipment authorizations valued at $504M supporting five Wings and 47 associate units representing six commands.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=2000-ndx.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes analyzing the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems or techniques of the supply system.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

Ideal Candidate: Analyzes and evaluates supply operational requirements through examining problems, or potential problem areas identified by the Chief of Operations Compliance, Flight Chiefs, unexpected fluctuations or trends in statistics, or by direction of higher headquarters. Subject matter expert in using supply chain systems such as ERP, Microsoft Excel and data visualization software. Analyzes critical elements of supply performance continuously, important problems as needed, and less important items on a random sampling basis. Team focused, collaboration driven, communicate effectively with internal department, suppliers, and customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in one or more of the technical supply specializations or of supply program operations.
  • Knowledge of operations and/or procedures to provide services and resolve issues and problems of a procedural nature in supply operations, planning, or program management.
  • Knowledge of established supply systems to weigh the impact of such variables as cost, existing policies and procedures, data processing requirements, and other issues that influence the course of action taken.
  • Knowledge to analyze information; trace sequences of transactions to resolve questions; prepare entries for supply record systems; provide supply information, reports, and services; and recommend actions to eliminate problems.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing without significant speech impediment and experience in preparation of slides, graphs, and/or other briefing materials.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of well-established and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in one or more of the technical supply specializations or of supply program operations.
  • Skill in analyzing issues and formulating solutions to complex problems.


PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
