Summary

This position will be assigned to the JBSA Ft. Sam Houston Golf Course located in San Antonio, Texas.

This is a Flexible position with guaranteed 00 hours per week. Employees appointed to a Flexible category position are not eligible for benefits.

Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40lbs. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time.

Duties

Help

Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and cold menu items (e.g., salad, dessert, bread, and cold beverages)on a serving line. Removes dishes and trays from tables.

Operates, breaks down and cleans all electrical equipment for food preparation. Cleans kitchen equipment (e.g., worktables, sinks and refrigerators). Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware in dishwashing area. Loads and operates dishwashers, stores clean dishes, glasses and silverware. Washes tables and counters, vacuums, and shampoos carpets. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes walls and cleans and sanitizes trashcans.

Sorts, washes, peels, and cuts fresh fruits and vegetables.

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers certification, within specified time from date hire or assignment to position.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs and occasionally over 60 lbs. with assistance.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have resided within the United States for at least 3 years and live within the commuting area of the activity location.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA'S):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills and abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Ability to read and understand written material and be able to follow simple oral instructions.
2. Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
3. Ability to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 60 pounds with assistance.
4. Ability to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push and bend for long periods of time.

Education
