Duties

Help
  • You will plan, develops, implements and monitors warehouse operations in support of Submarine Rotational Sealift Command vessels.
  • You will be responsible for the comprehension of qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations.
  • You will provide professional logistics support and management and serves as a subject matter expert in Inventory Management, Inventory Accuracy and Transportation Management.
  • You will coordinate the revision of contiguous program operations plans, goals and objectives for FLCY.
  • You will coordinate with receiving depots, aerial ports, water ports, and DLA Distribution for inbound and outbound freight, addressing unique handling requirements, volume surges, and transportation facility capabilities.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Expert knowledge on Navy Working Capital Fund inventory accuracy and audit procedures in accordance with NAVSUP P-723 Inventory Integrity Standards
2. Expert knowledge of Department of Defense transportation policies and regulations and experience with Defense Transportation System (DTS) for managing inbound and outbound cargo, to include customs clearance, host-nation requirements, and compliance with international agreements
3. Demonstrated proficiency with Navy or DoD warehouse and transportation distribution functions to include Navy ERP or DLA WMS or DSS.
4. Documented experience managing warehouse operations in support of industrial operations
5. Eligibility for a Secret security clearance, as the position requires access to classified information in support of submarine operations.
6. Demonstrated experience in Navy or DoD Supply Chain Management functions.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
