Supervises NAF and host national employees. Responsible for succession planning of employees within the central warehouse to include: rating performance, setting performance standards, issuing disciplinary action, approving leave requests, resolving grievances, interview/selects staff. Directs, coordinates, oversees work and trains subordinates on all inventory and warehouse procedures, including purchasing, inventory and purchase analysis, regulation, inventory software system input and maintenance and safety. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives. Maintains materials for inspection according to established procedures, and routes items to proper storage. Develops warehouse storage plan to be implemented by subordinates. Salvages broken or obsolete supplies and property items according to applicable directives and policies. Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system for nonexpendable property and performs routine phases of property management according to established policies and guidelines. Responsible for warehousing expendable and nonexpendable backup stocks according to generally accepted warehousing and safety policies and standards. Follows up on delivery and validates all supply listings. Reviews all property APP & NAF listings and ensures the complete transfer and disposal of equipment. Establishes and maintains the appropriate security of high value items subject to pilferage. Maintains material safety data sheets (MSDS) on all chemical solutions stocked. Inputs shipping and inventory documents with required data for manual or automated inventory systems. Ensures that supplies, food, and equipment are safeguarded and secure at all times. Monitors transfer and issue of stock and proper disposal of outdated or spoiled inventory. Maintains a perpetual inventory system to track and monitor regular and high-value inventory. Uses a computer inventory system to track all facets of inventory stocking, issuing, and disposal. Analyzes such factors as usage rates, inventory, seasonal demands, prices, special projects or program changes. Determines quantities required and timely stock replenishment and rotation by use of experienced judgment, historical data, and utilization rates. Determines end of month inventories of stock by counting items in storage areas. Maintains responsibility for the Food Trak Program and the government Purchase Card (PCARD). Prepares budget for supplies and equipment. Oversees purchasing activities for all items purchased through the central warehouse, validating the propriety and legality of all purchases. May operate a wide variety of hand and power tools. May operate heavy duty vehicles including trucks up to 4 tons, gasoline and electric powered forklifts. Reports possible or actual delays to supervisor. Implements corrective actions within authority to resolve work problems. Performs other related duties as assigned.
