Duties

Help

Assist in monitoring and coordinating club activities including the planned food and beverage service, schedule banquet and special parties, catering requirements and other social activities. Monitors operations of the club or assigned area, normally during absence of the Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Normally at night, weekends, and/or holidays. Determines and obtains required merchandise, goods, and services. Responsible for the receipt, safekeeping, deposit, disbursement, and accountability of all activity funds, including daily and monthly financial record keeping requirements.
Assures patrons satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Directs and supervises assigned personnel for the enlisted club complex which include: Club Operations Assistants, Security Guards, and I.D. Checkers. Selects, plans and establishes work schedules, assigning and distributing work, counseling employees, maintaining employee records. Directly responsible for safety, self-inspection, sanitation, fire protection, corporate focus, training, resource protection, and continuity. Plans, establishes, and implements administrative procedures and operating instructions to achieve efficient operation of all club functions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have a minimum 1 year supervisory experience and knowledge that would have been gained in club, restaurant, and/or business operations. Knowledgeable of Air Force policies, club policies on cash handling procedures, club regulations and operating instructions is desirable. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate. Subject to satisfactory completion and favorable adjudication of a Tier 1 background check.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
