This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (FLEET MANAGEMENT) T32, PDD2421000 and is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
Permanent - Note: The individual selected will receive an Indefinite Appointment and may be converted to permanent based on availability of funds or position no longer being encumbered.
This position is 161 ARW in Phoenix, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Vehicle Fleet Manager for host and subordinate units; ensuring the efficient and effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment (i.e., refueling vehicles, fire trucks, materiel handling equipment, de-icing, snow removal, aircraft towing, tactical, construction equipment, and DOMOPS vehicles). Incumbent performs preliminary planning, long term scheduling, managing maintenance production, and conducting analysis. Analyzes and reviews reports and statistical data from subordinate functions and other sources for the purpose of evaluating overall maintenance program status or identifying exception, trend, or problems areas.
ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air National Guard, in a military position assigned to 161 ARW.
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guar, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess 24 months experience, education or training scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility. Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
Education

3. Knowledge and skill to manage, formulate and perform analytical data reviews on a wide range of production indicators to assist in improving productivity or in determining causes of production delays.
4. Ability to manage delayed parts, bench stock and working stock; Initiates, monitors and follows up on part requests.
5. Ability to conduct instructional classes on methods and procedures of operation and fleet management.
