Help
  • Leader: Oversees the accomplishment of work and evaluates park and recreation activities for pool and fitness operations.
  • Assist manager by ensuring adequate staffing of operations with personnel and the safety of users Carries work in accordance with policies, regulations, directives and requirements.
  • Inspects facilities and reports on results. Exercise judgement on routine matters where discretion is permitted.
  • Monitors and recommends scheduling for approval and leave requests. Approves leave in emergency leave as delegated by management. Resolves simple and informal complaints and refers others to management.
  • Technical: Performs checks and makes adjustments in water quality levels and that the pump rooms are maintained and operational. As lifeguard, responsible for the life guarding of guests at the pools. Maintains peak physical condition.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a physical.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation to include childcare checks (SKIES).
  • Successfully complete all required background checks to include a health screening. An annual health screening will be required throughout employment. All local background checks will be re-verified every 5 years
  • Must be able to work a schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and possible holidays.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Twelve months of work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.
  • Must have a current pool operator's license; lifeguard instructor certification, AED, CPR, oxygen administration, and First Aid certification.
  • Must be able to use sound judgment, accomplish tasks within established timeframes, and possess good people skills requiring the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner.
  • Must have experience with office functions such as preparing and managing reports.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

Water Safety Instructor Certification

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
