Duties

Help
  • As a Recreation Assistant, performs a variety of technical and administrative work in the operation of the Performing Arts Center.
  • Assisting with clerical and administrative functions necessary for the operation of the center, to include record keeping, inventory of supplies, and recommending ordering of depleted or other necessary supplies.
  • Performing first level maintenance on all equipment to ensure that it is in operable condition. Identifying inoperable equipment and advising the supervisor of those needing higher level repair.
  • Assisting in the construction of sets and scenery for varying productions, procurement of supplies and materials needed, and the operation of light and sound systems for these productions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. This includes childcare checks and supervisor of minors checks.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends and Special events.
  • May be required to lift items up to 40lbs.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Three (3) months of prior experience participating in variety shows, bands and plays. Experience to include:

  • Construction of sets and scenery.
  • Operation of light and stage sound systems for productions.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

1. Possess at least one (1) year experience with construction of sets and scenery.
2. Possess at least one (1) year experience with lighting and stage sound systems.

  • This job is open to candidates who are residing in the local commuting area of Grafenwoehr. The surrounding/commuting area is within approximately 100 miles and includes the communities of Hohenfels, Ansbach, and Vilseck (Military Spouse Preference (MSP), Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) and Family Member Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration).
