Major Duties:
  • Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to research personnel in the coordination and conduct of research projects.
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and management of human subjects research studies, including data collection, entry, and maintenance using spreadsheet and database software.
  • Screens, recruits, and assesses potential participants for research or clinical demonstration eligibility; reviews medical charts and clinical cases; and consults with eligible patients to explain study parameters and procedures.
  • Develops, manages, and monitors project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to support successful outcomes.
  • Drafts and maintains research policies, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and other required documentation to ensure compliance with institutional, regulatory, and administrative requirements.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/28/2025.

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:

  • Experience: You must posses general experience in (1) providing administrative and operational support to research projects, developing research designs, protocols, and data collection method; (2) ensuring compliance with research protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines. OR,
  • Education: You must possess a bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree with a major in an academic field related to the medical field or health sciences. OR,
  • Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

Physical Requirements: The work primarily is sedentary. Some work may require periods of walking, standing, and bending in offices, laboratories, hospitals, treatment facilities, and other work areas. Employees frequently carry light items such as books, instruments, and other similar materials. The work does not require any special physical effort.
