The work requires exertion on a regular and recurring basis, sitting, long periods of standing, walking, standing, stooping, reaching, power tool operation, lifting moderately heavy items up to 60 pounds, operating hand trucks/dollies to move items, and occasional climbing.
Working Conditions:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions. Work is normally done in secure armory space with no windows. Occasionally, site of work may be indoor or outdoor firing range(s). Employee is subject to loud noises while using various tools and machinery in the repair and maintenance of small arms. Exposed to grease, oil and solvents when cleaning and lubricating weapons. Frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts and bruises from tools or sharp edges of metal.
