This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave. This is Regular Part Time position, minimun hours guarenteed are 20.

Duties

Help

Serves as the liaison between management and frontline customer service staff to ensure the effective communication and execution
of policies, procedures and operational processes. Assists management with developing effective tools to execute a quality customer
service program and efficient and organized customer service desk areas at the Patrick SFB and Cape Canaveral SFS fitness centers.
Provides timely feedback to management to help develop and,/or maintain operating instructions IAW with relevant DoD, DAF and
local guidance and to ensure services are customer-oriented. Ensures daily inspection, data-collection and cleaning checklists are
completed and filed in the format directed. Uses a variety of computer software to complete forms and reports. Executes preparation
of management-level administrative documents and maintains continuity binders as directed. Performs quality assurance oversight of
the customer service areas at both fitness centers, to include all shifts on all operational days of the week as scheduled by the
supervisor, and reports issues promptly. Performs quality assurance inspections of the SLD 45 contract cleaning service at the
frequency directed by management. Performs as the staff member in charge in the absence ofthe Activity and Program Managers.
When adequately trained and directed, serves as the Fitness Program or Sports Program Manager to maintain continuity and
interactive supervision ofscheduled activities. Assists management with the tracking and execution oftraining requirements, facility
inspections and work orders, equipment inspection, preventive maintenance and cleaning, and inventory accountability. Provides
recommendations for on the job training and short and long-term facility and equipment capital improvements. May serve as a NAF
or APF purchase card holder. When appropriately certified, may serve as an individual or group exercise instructor, lifeguard,
lifeguard instructor or water safety instructor. Assists management with marketing requests to maintain relevant facility signage and
customer notifications and current advertisement offitness center and FSS programs and events. Actively supports and participates in
base wide events. Performs all duties stated in the Recreation Assistant position description #08833 and all other related duties as
assigned.

  • Must possess American Red Cross CPR/AED/ First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Work requires frequent physical exertion, and the incumbent must be able to frequently walk, bend, stoop and lift objects up to 50 pounds unassisted and successfully pass a pre-employment physical exam
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must be a current NAF employee

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have progressively responsible experience demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily at the NF-ll grade level, a
minimum of one year experience providing specialized knowledge of the resources utilized in this position, and cashier experience.
Experience in leading groups to accomplish organizational goals and objectives is desired. Must possess American Red Cross CPR/
AED/ First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire. Competent experience with Microsoft
Office software is desired. Work requires frequen physical exertion and the incumbent must be able to frequently walk, bend, stoop
and lift objects up to 50 pounds unassisted and successfully pass a pre-employment physical exam. Must be able read, write and
speak English fluently and communicate effectively. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and successfully complete a
National Agency Check with Inquiries. Must be available to work nights, weekends and Holidays as required and/or directed.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
