As a Management Analyst, you will:

  • Plan, organize, and lead or conduct projects, studies, and analyses of considerable scope and depth critical to the resolution of organizational effectiveness issues, including detailed analyses of existing and proposed processes, procedures, organizational structures, staffing, administrative methods, and supervisory and management practices. Isolates and defines issues or conditions where a number of efforts and related studies must be coordinated and integrated. Uses initiative and resourcefulness in researching and implementing new and improved methods and procedures to resolve issues within BPA.
  • Analyze and recommend methods for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of programs and procedures through process modification and application of evolving technology.
  • Develop or participate in the development of BPA-wide operations, including updates and coordination of existing strategies that support the full range of Power Services programs and services. Serves as a subject-matter expert regarding policy development, changes or updates to existing policies and procedures.
  • Perform a full range of project management functions for assigned projects, studies and analyses. Plans, manages, coordinates, leads, and oversees projects.
  • Consult with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables. Prepares proposed plans, milestones, and schedules. Implements project plans to meet objectives. Coordinates and integrates project activities.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-12] in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as at least one of the following:
- Planning and conducting projects and analyses;
- Evaluating performance and recommending ways to improve business processes and procedures; or
- Performing project management functions including overseeing and coordinating project scope, schedule, and deliverables.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
