About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin FamCamp.

This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 96th Force Support Squadron at Eglin AFB Florida. Position is Regular Part-time (RPT) guaranteed 20-34 hours per week and schedule tour of duty may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Duties

Help

Plans, directs and supervises all functions of the Aquatics Program and FAMCAMP operations of Eglin AFB, FL. Coordinates
programming for the Pool, FAMCAMP and Beach Park, to include swim lessons/swim team and specialized programming at
FAMCAMP/Beach Park. Schedules and/or supervises swim lessons and various classes such as CPR, first aid and lifeguarding.
Manages the campsite/FAMCAMP operations. Assists the ODR Director with activity budgets, analyzes financial results and
maintains financial controls; serves as facility custodian of assigned areas. Operates a government vehicle due geographically
separated worksites assigned, both on and off base. Maintains and ensures facilities and equipment are safe, clean and in proper
working condition. Evaluates and recommends for approval any facility program, service, or equipment improvements/changes
prior to implementation. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Accountable for the quantity and quality of
work performed by assigned employees: selects, assigns, directs and reviews the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work
performance approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave or other absences from work; planning, scheduling, and
coordinating work operations, solving problems related to the work supervised; determining equipment and supplies needed; and
explaining and gaining the support of subordinates for management policy and goals; and for dealing effectively with complaints,
grievances and other matters. Trains staff in operating policies and procedures, ensures employee training and development needs
are identified and performed. Enforces facility and safety policies, rules, and regulations. Receives and resolves customer
complaints and requests for special services. May be required to work weekends, nights, and holidays. Keeps supervisor informed
of any problems which may arise. Performs other duties as assigned. Position of Trust.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:

Must have experience which has provided a general familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or
programs. In addition, must have progressively responsible experience in a recreation program activity, which has involved
recreation work in at least one of the area of specialty (Aquatics and/or Camping). Ability to plan, supervise, administer, and carry
out recreational programs. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a
National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
