As a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Manages a wide variety of very complex Joint staff actions, projects, and activities requiring approval of the JS J6, and coordination across the Directorate and the Joint Staff.
  • Analyzes operations, procedures, organizational structures, and makes technical recommendations for functional and organizational changes and improvements, manpower, personnel, administrative policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Makes recommendations to Management for their use in implementing cyber talent management best practices for recruiting and retention across the Joint Staff J6.
  • Creates new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and promulgates guidance to J6 Directorates.
  • Provides authoritative advice, recommendations, and coordination on complex J6 matters pertaining to civilian human Resources (HR).
  • Develops memorandums, information papers, and briefs in support of Director, J6 and Vice Director, J6 on civilian workforce management disciplines.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS -14 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:

  • Monitoring the application of cyber workforce policies, principles, and practices in planning and management services of cyberspace workforce management;
  • Preparing detailed analyses addressing employment and demographic data, current and anticipated cyber missions and programs;
  • Regulatory and program development requirements, and problem mitigation;
  • Identifying manpower requirements, organizes, and distributes authorized personnel resources.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
