Duties

Help
  • Provides acquisition and supply management support to J4. Enters initial supply records into logistics logs for DISA supply and property.
  • Researches and validates supply management records and information. Processes requests for issue and turn-in of NCR equipment, furniture and other items.
  • Responsible for determining priority of requests and the method of procurement. Prepares and reviews procurement documents, assigned required document and obligation control numbers, and forwards through the proper supply channels.
  • Assist in the arranging and rearranging of stocked items to remove discontinued supplies and integrate new items on shelves for customers. Assist in counting items, spot checks, and perform annual inventory.
  • Prepare final reports identifying excess stock. Present stock shortages to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Time in Grade:

For entry at the GS-07 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-06 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Specialized Experience:

For the GS-07, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-06 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with entering data into an automated system for tracking and verifying records; and assisting customers with orders for shipping requirements.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Applicants must describe how their experience meets the competencies within the body of the resume. No separate statements addressing competencies are required.

Competencies: Attention to Detail, Computer Skills, Customer Service (Clerical/Technical), and Technical Competence

Education

Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
