Duties

Help

Supports the 27 Force Support Squadron Marketing Office as a graphic artist, illustrator, and visual information specialist, creating marketing and promotional materials for Services Activities. Services Activities include, but are not limited to, the following: Aero Club, Auto Skills, Theater, Cannon Lanes Bowling Center, Library, Lodging, Child Development Center, Chip Shot Diner, Civilian Personnel, Fitness Center, Community Center, Education Center, Family Child Care, Dining Facilities, Honor Guard, Human Resources, Information Tickets and Travel, Landing Zone Club/Catering, Marketing, Military and Family Readiness Center, Military Personnel Flight, Outdoor Recreation, Resource Management, School Care Facility, Tailgate Sports Lounge, Whispering Winds Golf Course, and Youth Center. This role requires creativity, technical expertise, and a keen understanding of effective marketing strategies to produce visually compelling materials that promote the Services Activities. Responsible for designing and producing high-quality visual materials using graphic design software, scanners, and print shop hardware. Develops a wide range of digital and print assets, including visual aids, illustrations, charts, posters, flyers, logos, pamphlets, brochures, signage, newspaper supplements, newsletters, magazines, maps, web pages, Instagram and Facebook posts, banners, and other graphics essential for effectively marketing and promoting Services Activities. Collaborates closely with Services Activity Managers, visiting each facility to design, assess, and refine marketing strategies that enhance program engagement. Consolidates relevant data from various activities to optimize outreach efforts and creates multi-channel marketing campaigns. Creates engaging marketing and publicity materials for both special events and seasonal activities. Conducts research to ensure all marketing products align with the advertised information and events, verifying accuracy and appropriateness. Provides recommendations on the most effective visual formats to enhance promotional efforts. Identifies and suggests sources for equipment, materials, software, and supplies necessary to fulfill design and marketing objectives. Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall marketing and publicity efforts of the Squadron

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Instagram, Facebook, and WordPress with the ability to create visually compelling and effective layouts. Strong background in computer publishing and graphic design, with expertise in visual composition principles and the creation of print and digital advertisements. Must possess knowledge of proper procedures for correspondence, including spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and formatting, to effectively prepare and edit assignments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with demonstrated experience in workload management, meeting deadlines, maintaining organized files, coordinating meeting requests, and independently handling routine assignments with minimal supervision. Experience with creating surveys is highly desirable. Must have the ability to read, write and speak English. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries is required. Knowledge of USAF regulation and guidelines, official AF logos, paid advertising, endorsement disclaimer and copyright credits for publishing is highly desirable. A bachelor's degree in graphic arts/design and/or Web Design (or acceptable Diploma programs) may be substituted for work experience.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for A bachelor's degree in graphic arts/design and/or Web Design (or acceptable Diploma programs) may be substituted for work experience.
the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
