  • Lead strategic management of a complex real estate portfolio encompassing acquisition, maintenance, and administration, leveraging substantial budgets to meet stakeholder program requirements.

Conditions of employment

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret/SCI security clearance and access to secure space and equipment.
  • Must be able to pass a polygraph test or a series of tests, and continue to pass the polygraph test on a periodic basis.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure OGE450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the OPM General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 40% of the time, including OCONUS.
  • It should be expected that this position may require immunizations dependent on specific travel destinations and as prescribed at time of travel for those destinations.
  • The incumbent must obtain and maintain a Real Estate Contracting Officer Warrant Level II Certification or higher based on organizational authorities no later than 24 months after employment, and when the need for higher certification is identified.
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Leading a team of real estate employees and directing federal real estate activities; Conducting complex real estate negotiations, such as leases, licenses, easements or permits; Applying federal regulations related to federal real estate to ensure real estate mission execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
