The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Pentagon is searching for an IT Specialist (ENTARCH), S1A (NH-2210-04, GS-14/15 equivalent).

Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team at the Unites State Space Force S1A. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and have extensive experience with Air Force HR Systems, Air Force Reserve Systems, and Fourth Estate HR systems, including the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). As an Enterprise Architect in the USSF S1, you will have the opportunity to shape multiple efforts that will have broad impact on our Guardians.

Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. Experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on DoDAF. Extensive experience with Air Force HR Systems, Air Force Reserve Systems, and Fourth Estate HR systems such as DFAS and DMDC. Strong understanding of DoD policies, standards, and regulations. Proven track record of successful project management and implementation of enterprise architecture solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Relevant certifications (e.g., DoDAF Certification, TOGAF, PMP) are a plus. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies. Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture for various HR systems within the DoD, with a focus on Air Force HR, Air Force Reserve, and Fourth Estate HR systems.
- Utilize DoDAF to design, document, and communicate enterprise architecture frameworks and solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including HR, IT, and operations teams, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Analyze and evaluate current HR systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for optimization.
- Provide expert guidance on the integration and interoperability of HR systems within the DoD.
- Ensure compliance with DoD policies, standards, and regulations related to HR systems and data management.
- Lead architecture reviews and assessments, providing recommendations for system enhancements and modernization efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to enterprise architecture and HR systems

  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • This is a cybersecurity position; the employee will attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certificate(s) applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the DoD position held, within 12 months of filling the position .
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours.
  • PCS funding is authorized.
  • Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework".
